The announcement of the State of Disaster declared by the Victorian Government will impact on school operations in Term 3.
In addition to other Melbourne metropolitan areas, Casey and Cardinia shires are moving to Stage 4 ‘Stay at Home’ restrictions.
From 6pm on Sunday 2 August 2020, the Victorian government announced further restrictions will commence and continue for six weeks until 11.59pm on Sunday, 13 September 2020.
These restrictions will affect school operations as students in Years 11 and 12 will return to remote learning. Some exceptions may be made for vulnerable children, and children of essential workers. Those without devices are requested to contact the office immediately for a loan device.
Classes will run on Monday 3 August 2020 via a combination of remote and on-campus learning. Tuesday 4 August 2020 will be a student free day to allow teaching staff to revert back to off-campus learning. From Wednesday 5 August 2020 all classes will be delivered online.
We will await an announcement from the State Government today on the definition of essential workers and be in touch with families in due course as we have more information.
Additionally, the Early Learning Centre will continue to operate from Wednesday 5 August 2020. This service is restricted during the lockdown period to children identified as vulnerable or the children of essential workers as specified by the government.
We understand the difficulties facing our families at this time and are on hand for support.
