Heritage College will expand its facilities in 2021 with works continuing on a major building project at Officer campus.
The existing primary building will convert into a new Primary Precinct with the inclusion of a second building, undercover area and additional classroom spaces.
In plans developed by Kneeler Design Architects, the Primary Precinct will see a second building constructed that offers state of the art learning facilities. A covered canopy will connect the two buildings, doubling the size of the existing primary area on campus. The project will deliver seven new classrooms, group learning spaces, a Music Room and a dedicated Multi-Purpose area. The outdoor recreation space will be completed by an additional basketball court, providing a second court for primary students. The project will also double the amount of car parking spaces on-site, delivering additional safety zones for ease of school drop off and collection.
The building project is a significant investment in the infrastructure of the college, provided with the assistance of the Victorian State Government Building Grants program. The Principal of Heritage College, Mr Sonny Aiono, said that the local community will benefit from the project.
“We are grateful for the state government’s support in providing this substantial funding, which allows us to meet the demands of growth in the local community.”
“This is certainly a blessing from God and an answer to prayer.”
“This project will allow us to build on our strong enrolment growth and offer a diverse range of learning options for families,” Mr Aiono said.
The project is on track for completion and readiness for the first day of Term 1, 2021. Enquiries are open throughout the restriction period and Heritage College offers a contactless enrolment process. To take a Virtual Tour of the Officer campus, visit https://www.heritagecollege.vic.edu.au.
