With Australian Tertiary Admission Rankings (ATAR) results released this morning, Heritage College is pleased to announce the highest achieving student as Dux of 2021 is Miss Georgia Manzat.
Miss Manzat was the highest achieving student in the cohort with an ATAR score in the 90s. Excelling in her study of humanities, Miss Manzat earned high scores for History Revolutions, English and Romanian Language as well as Psychology.
Upon successful completion of her Secondary studies, Miss Manzat plans to study teaching at Monash University next year.
VCE Coordinator, Ms Elyse Taylor says the teachers at Heritage College share in Miss Manzat’s celebration of her achievement.
“This result is a testament to her hard work and dedication to her learning over the last two years”, she said.
“It will be a pleasure to count her as a colleague in the future; she will be an asset to our profession.”
Miss Manzat said she was ecstatic when she received her scores online this morning, saying she achieved the goal she set for herself as a Year 7 student. With today’s results, Miss Manzat can count on her dream course at Monash University.
“I am so relieved to get the score I needed for my preferred course,” she said.
In a statement released earlier, Minister for Education James Merlino says VCE and VCAL graduates of the Class of 2021 who completed their final years of school during a global pandemic are particularly inspiring.
“I thank teachers, school staff and families, whose support through the last two difficult years has played a huge role in the success of this year’s VCE and VCAL students,” he said.
“Whether it’s a university course, TAFE, an apprenticeship or getting straight into the workforce, I wish our Year 12s the very best with whatever comes next after a fun and relaxing summer break.”
