Pathway to Secondary
Step into Secondary - your pathway to Secondary

Heritage College offers a supportive pathway into the first year of Secondary at Officer campus. This pathway is available to all Heritage College Primary students (Officer and Narre Warren South) as well as incoming students from other local schools.

Taking the first step into secondary school is a milestone that can be accompanied by many questions, and moving with your child into secondary comes with plenty of exciting adventures and opportunities. Your child will experience new events, create long-lasting memories and friendships, and face new challenges that will help them develop valuable life skills. However, change is not always easy to navigate and your child will require support as they move through adolescence into greater levels of independence.

We know just how important it is to support families through this time. To provide the most supportive and nurturing process for our families moving into Secondary, we have developed a pathway called ‘Step into Secondary’. The program provides a helpful information session for parents in Term 2 where you can meet your child’s new educators with plenty of time for questions and answers. In addition to the information session, Orientation Days are held in Terms 3 and 4.

If you are considering enrolling for Secondary, or have already enrolled, the Parent Information Session is one of the first steps in your journey.
