Early Opportunities

  • Early Encounters with Jesus Curriculum: Our faith-based curriculum aims to introduce children to Jesus Christ through Bible stories, Christian songs and open discussion around how Jesus lived His life. We incorporate four core values through Service, Grace, Worship and Community within each lesson as we build and support the children’s foundation for a lifelong journey of faith.

  • Pre-Lit: An evidence based early literacy program that builds phonological awareness and oral language skills. Used for 3-5year olds, our children gain exposure to a rich array of literacy and language through storybook reading and intentional educator engagement.

  • Bush Kinder and Nature Play: Boosting children’s holistic development through strengthening their sense of belonging, being, physical health, cognitive skills, and emotional wellbeing by engaging with nature and being outdoors. We provide opportunities for all children to explore and discover their world in its natural environment, fostering confidence but also a long lasting deep appreciation for God’s creation.

  • Library Visits: Regular visits to the primary school library encourages creativity, and takes the children on a journey of imagination. We foster a love for reading, language and literacy through our weekly visits. The children often immerse themselves in the quiet environment, building upon their understanding and appreciation of how important books are for our learning.

  • Chapel: Weekly chapel participation in the Primary school enables our children to build a strong sense of belonging within the wider school community. Learning the chapel songs and hearing the bible stories in a fun and engaging way help children to continue growing in their faith, whilst becoming familiar with school expectations and activities.

  • Transition to Prep: Preparing children for their formal years of schooling is vital to their success in the Prep classroom. Our aim is to reduce anxieties and uncertainties around the transition process. Making connections with the Prep teachers and buddies from the upper Primary classes, as well as having visits to the classrooms increase children’s familiarity and understanding of the school environment.

  • Incursions/Excursions: Each year, according to the children’s interests, there are opportunities for children to participate in incursions or excursions. Animal encounters, trips to the local library, emergency services visits and so much more, enhance learning experiences for the children.
