Early Learning Centre Opens at Narre Warren South Campus

Published on Wednesday 17 February, 2021

On Thursday 28 January 2021, the Early Learning Centre at Narre Warren South campus opened its doors and welcomed the first 3 and 4 Year Old group.

Celebration was in the air as balloons greeted guests upon arrival, new signs were installed and families received goodie bags for their first day.

The Early Learning Centre project commenced planning in 2019, and was designed with two classroom spaces, an outdoor playground area and staff amenities. The Centre is positioned on the Narre Warren South campus, taking up residence in the North Wing with easy access for families. The first room was ready for a Term 1, 2021 start with the second room to open later this year.

Early Learning Centre Assistant Director April Van Bezouwen said the room became a hive of activity as the children explored the learning spaces on the first day.

“Our dedicated team was on hand to share and extend these moments”, Ms Van Bezouwen says. “I look forward to the journey that we will take together and watch each child grow."

With two days in the first week of operations, classroom activities included storytelling, outdoor playtime and investigations, painting and working with home-made playdough.

Limited places within the Centre are available. To book a tour of the Centre or to discuss your child’s enrolment for this year or next, contact elcenrolments@heritagecollege.vic.edu.au.
