Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Victoria) Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic Auslan Teacher to join the team at Heritage College, Narre Warren.
Heritage College provides co-educational Christian education from 3 and 4-year-old Early Learning through to Year 12.
This is a Part-time, Permanent position for 1 day per week (preferably Thursday). This position commences as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will demonstrate that they:
- Plan, prepare and teach programs to achieve specific student outcomes
- Use critical reflection to improve the knowledge, learning and skills of students
- Have deaf cultural and community knowledge
- Be willing to be mentored and supported in their role, as well as being willing to collaborate with another Auslan teacher to expand on an already vibrant and fun Auslan program.
- Show a willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching and learning within the school and the wider Seventh-day Adventist school system
- Can support and actively promote, and not undermine, the Christian-based values and ethos of the College based on the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
- Have the capacity to teach the Australian curriculum in the context of the College's Christian-based ethos
- Can plan for and lead daily Christian-based class devotions to students

Requirements:
- Bachelor of Education
- VIT Registered Teacher
- Fluent in Auslan and English

The salary range is $86k-128k based on years of experience.
