Heritage College is looking for an enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join the Early Learning team at Heritage College ELC (Officer campus). This is a part-time (0.80 FTE, 4 days per week) position commencing Term 1, 2026.

Heritage College Early Learning Centre is a nurturing, inclusive, Christian Early Education and Care service that provides high-quality long day care with an integrated Kindergarten program for 3 - 5-year-olds. Our focus is to create the foundation for lifelong learning through innovative, creative, and child-focused teaching practices.

We are seeking a passionate, dynamic Early Childhood Teacher to support the wonder, delight and intrigue of childhood through planned and spontaneous experiences that inspire children to ask questions, investigate, challenge themselves and build friendships. At Heritage College ELC, we use a play-based educational program that is supported with inquiry-based learning, co-constructed by children and Educators with families input incorporating school readiness and individual children's development.

The successful candidate will demonstrate that they:

  • Have a strong passion for early childhood education
  • Develop and deliver an educational program that fosters children’s interests and stimulates their passion for learning.
  • Establish and maintain stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments that provide a wide range of resources and materials which children can utilise to develop individual and group projects.
  • Understand the expectations of Victorian and National Curriculum Frameworks, National Quality Standards and the current Regulations.
  • Maintain children’s individual observations, assessments and learning plans.
  • Build and maintain positive and respectful relationships with families and children.
  • Mentor other Educators as part of the leadership team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Education
  • VIT Registered Teacher
