Congratulations Class of 2020

Congratulations Class of 2020

Published on Wednesday 02 December, 2020

As the academic year comes to a close, Heritage College acknowledges the efforts of the graduating Class of 2020.

The Year 12 Class attended their final day of school 30 October, returning briefly again to sit exams throughout November.

Head of Secondary Mr Darren Martin congratulated students on successful completion of their exams and the determination they have shown throughout a challenging year.

Mr Martin said the secondary staff are proud of the achievements of the Class of 2020 as they conclude their secondary journey.

“While every generation of graduating students face unique challenges that set them apart and shape their lives for the future, this year’s cohort has experienced challenges that no one could have predicted at the beginning of the year,” he says.

Senior Secondary Coordinator Miss Elyse Taylor says that this year’s graduating class persevered and demonstrated the ability to overcome, adapt and excel given the unpredictable nature of the difficulties faced during two lockdowns and extended periods away from peers and teaching staff.

“The sudden shift to learning in a remote environment, whilst very challenging, helped our students to develop independence in their academic pursuits which will serve them well as they step into tertiary education,” Miss Taylor says.

“We believe the adversity that our Year 12 students faced this year will become their strength and all of the staff at Heritage College join me in commending them for their efforts this academic year,” she said.

Congratulations to all students in the Class of 2020 on successful completion of their exams.

Year 12 students will anticipate receiving their ATAR Scores on 30 December 2020 which will allow them to adjust their universities of choice and preferences.
