The high demand for places for students entering Prep in 2023 has led Heritage College to increase its Primary School capacity at its Officer Campus.
A combination of growth in the local area and increased demand for places in the Early Learning Centre on campus led to the decision.
Head of Primary at Heritage College, Mr Roger Sevenhuysen, confirmed that two Prep Classes are available for the first time at Officer campus in 2023.
“With one Prep class already at capacity at Officer campus and demand for next year and beyond, we are pleased to expand our offering for local families,” he said.
“Doubling the number of Prep classes on campus will allow the Primary school to cater effectively for the kinder groups coming through, as well as offer additional places for younger siblings in future years”, he said.
The second Prep class at Officer commences from Term 1, 2023 and brings the total Prep capacity to 44 students.
Now in its twenty-fourth year of operations, Heritage College commenced at the Narre Warren South campus in 1999 with 41 students. The college expanded to the Starling Road, Officer Campus in 2008, where Secondary classes commenced in 2009 and Primary classes in 2013.
Heritage College Narre Warren South campus offers continuous education for students entering 3 and 4-Year-Old Early Learning to Year 6. Students continue onto Secondary school up to Year 12 with VCE and VM (previously VCAL) options at the Officer campus, located on Starling Road, Officer. An inter-campus shuttle provides a convenient service for families continuing to Secondary at Officer campus.
